NOTE: You do not have to be in the military to advertise on Military Auto Trader.

Hello out there, my name is Alfred D. Lake founder of Military Auto Trader. I'm about to walk you through the steps of how to advertise your car or miscellaneous items on this site. On Military Auto Trader, service members, DOD personnel and civilians will be able to find items that are for sale in multiple U.S. based countries.

Prior to a PCSing move, at military auto trader you'll be able to CLICK on the COUNTRY you have orders to and since the U.S. have multiple bases in some countries, we have put together a list of those bases to make it ever easier for you. Follow the steps below and you'll have no problem getting your item advertise on MAT.

NOTE: I'm aware that everyone's familiar with the internet and understands How it works. Due to the number of feedbacks and questions we've Received on HOW TO!!! I've put together a step by step procedure On how to, from start to finish advertise on Military Auto Trader.

1. At the top of any of the PAGES on the site, you'll see a list of countries, CLICK on the country where you would like to list your items for sale. It could be the country you're at, the country you're going to or even the country you're coming from. If you do not see a country you are looking for, CLICK on MORE that is located at the end of the list of countries showing and a window will open with additional countries.

NOTE: Make sure at the top of the page where it states CURRENT SELECTION you are seeing the country of your choice beside it.

1. Below the list of countries, you will find a list of things that you can do such as BUY CARS, SELL CARS, SEARCH PRODUCTS etc. CLICK on what you are trying to do.
2. Your next step will be selecting a base. CLICK on the drop down window and a list of BASES will appear. Select one. NOTE: If the BASES do not corresponds with the currently selected country, CLICK on the selected country again and your page will automatically updated itself with the BASES of the selected country.
3. You will now select the YEAR, MAKE and MODEL of your car then CLICK on START HERE>>. If you are advertising under the PRODUCT section, then you'll go right into selecting a PLAN then providing the product information.
4. For selling cars, you will now enter your price, select a plan, select the number of months you would like to have you car advertised, fill in the vehicle information, add a description of your car then fill in your contact information. Don't forget to click in the Terms of use box then CLICK on CONTINUE .
5. You will now be given the option to upload a picture(s) if any based on the PLAN you've selected on the previous page by CLICKING on BROWSE. Once you're finish CLICK on CONTINUE.
6. The next page allows you to PRIVEW, EDIT and CONFIRM your information.
7. One email will be sent to the email address you used to advertise your car/product. You need to click on the link in that email to activate your advertisement.
8. Congratulations, you are done with listing of your car/product on our website.
